My GOAL is to CHANGE.
The purpose?
Simple, to become the BEST I can become.
But how can I achieve this GOAL?
Here are some tips I found on Yahoo! earlier this year and I'd like to share it. :)
How to achieve your
STEP 1 : PRIORITIZE
- Do not overload yourself and go after ONE GOAL AT A TIME. --- Start with the goal most important to overall your happiness.
- Choose a goal that is ATTAINABLE and which fits your talent, lifestyle and WHO YOU ARE.
Don't go after a goal just because its something you feel you should do.
- You need to be specific about WHAT EXACTLY IT IS THAT YOU WANT.
- Start asking yourself how do you want to do to achieve these goals.
- SET SPECIFIC MEASURABLE GOALS so that you have something to aim for and can measure your progress.
- You need to understand exactly how you want to get there and the best way to do this is to ASK THOSE WHO KNOW.
- Browse the internet, take a course, read books, and get in contact with the people who have already achieved your goal.
- Break down your ambition into "MINI GOALS" , you will not only make it seem achievable but you will give yourself specific things to aim for along the way.
- Write down your plan of action- what you want to achieve and how you can get there step by step.
The best time to chasing your dream is NOW
- Evaluate what is stopping you from going after your goal and see how you can work around these things.
- Don't leave you goal as a distant dream; take action and start pursuing it RIGHT NOW.STEP 6 : BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
- You have to get in the right frame of mind, and that means believing YOU CAN DO IT.
- Confidence in yourself and your abilities can get you far and setting out with a positive mindset is important.
- Reward yourself and TAKE PRIDE IN EVERY ACHIEVEMENT.
STEP 7 : SHARE YOUR DREAM- Share your ambitions and tell people about your goal.
- The more people you tell about your goal, the more people will have to help you.
STEP 8 : CLEAR YOUR SHCEDULE- Write down ALL the things clogging up your schedule then identify those things you can cut back on.
STEP 9 : BE FLEXIBLE- The key to achieving your goals is to be FLEXIBLE and ready to come up with plan A, B, C, D or E if ever things don't work out.
- Try to formulate several back up plans to help you bounce back from any setback and stay on track towards your ULTIMATE GOAL.
STEP 10 : REMIND YOURSELF WHY- PICTURE YOURSELF HAVING THESE GOALS ALREADY AND CONSIDER WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU
- If you do forget why you want your goal, re-asses yourself and seek for another goal.
